Your payment link
Your group manager or organizer sent you a link via email or text. That link is your personal payment portal — it’s unique to you and nobody else can see your info.
- No account or password needed — just tap the link.
- Links are temporary and expire after 48 hours for security. If your link has expired, ask your manager to send a new one.
- Works on any phone, tablet, or computer — no app to install.
Viewing your dues
When you open your link, you’ll see a summary of what you owe, including:
- Each due and its amount
- Due dates and any overdue items
- Any partial payments already recorded
- Your total outstanding balance
Only you can see your own dues and payment history — nothing is shared with other team members.
How to pay
Your portal will show you the payment methods your group organizer accepts. Options may include:
Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal
Your portal will show the manager’s payment handle and the amount to send. Open your preferred app, send the payment, and mark yourself as paid in the portal — or your manager will mark it when they receive it.
Credit or debit card (if available)
If your group has online payments enabled, you’ll see a Pay Now button. Click it to pay securely by card — powered by Stripe, the same technology used by Amazon and Shopify.
Cash or check
Pay your manager in person and ask them to mark you as paid in GetDues. It will show up in your portal once recorded.
SMS reminders & preferences
GetDues may send you text message reminders when a payment is coming up or past due. Here’s what you should know:
- You’ll only receive texts if your manager has your phone number on file.
- Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.
- Reply STOP to any GetDues text to opt out of SMS reminders immediately.
- You can also manage your email and SMS preferences from your portal link — look for the Notification Preferences section.
