Terms of Service

Welcome to GetDues. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GetDues website and services (the "Service") operated by GetDues ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
GetDues is a team dues tracking and reminder platform for youth sports teams. The Service allows team managers to:
- Track players and their contact information
- Create and manage dues/fees
- Record payments
- Send payment reminders via email and SMS
- Provide members or parents with a portal to view outstanding dues
Important: GetDues does not process payments. We provide tracking and reminders only. Actual payments are made directly between parents and team managers via external services (Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, cash, check, etc.).
2. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Collect information about other users without consent
- Use the Service in any way that could damage or overburden our infrastructure
4. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (team information, player data, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content, including obtaining appropriate consent from parents/guardians for member information.
5. Team Manager Responsibilities
As a team manager using GetDues, you agree to:
- Obtain appropriate consent before adding member and parent contact information
- Use the reminder feature responsibly and not excessively
- Keep payment records accurate and up to date
- Respect parents' communication preferences and opt-out requests
- Not use the Service for any purpose other than legitimate team management
6. Payment Disclaimer
GetDues is not a payment processor. We do not handle, process, or store any payment card information. All payments between parents and team managers occur outside of our platform through third-party services (Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, etc.) or offline methods (cash, check).
We are not responsible for any disputes related to payments, refunds, or financial transactions between team managers and parents. Any such disputes should be resolved directly between the parties.
7. Fees and Billing
GetDues offers both free and paid subscription plans:
- Free Plan: 1 team, up to 25 members, manual email reminders
- Pro Plan: $12/month or $99/year for unlimited teams, unlimited members, automatic email & sms reminders, installment payment plans, online card & ach payments (stripe), season rollover (team cloning), csv export & reports, priority support
Paid subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice.
8. SMS and Email Communications
By using GetDues to send reminders, you acknowledge that:
- You have obtained consent from recipients to receive messages
- Standard message and data rates may apply to SMS recipients
- Recipients may opt out at any time
- We may suspend your ability to send messages if we detect abuse
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding user content) are and will remain the exclusive property of GetDues. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks may not be used without our prior written consent.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our discretion.
You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be soft-deleted and permanently removed after 90 days.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GETDUES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GetDues and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Duval County, Florida.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
