Theme and appearance
GetDues supports light mode and dark mode. Choose your preferred theme:
- Light mode: Bright, clean interface (default)
- Dark mode: Easier on the eyes in low-light environments
- Auto (system): Matches your device’s theme settings
Your theme preference is saved per-device and applies across all teams.
Change theme at Account Settings → Appearance.
Payment defaults
Set default payment information to speed up dues creation:
- Default Venmo username: Pre-fill your Venmo handle when creating new teams
- Default Zelle email/phone: Pre-fill your Zelle info
- Default PayPal email: Pre-fill your PayPal.me link
These are account-level defaults. You can override them per-team in team settings.
Note:
Stripe is configured per-team (not account-wide) because each team may have different bank accounts or legal entities. Once connected, your team can accept both credit/debit card payments and ACH bank transfers from members.
Pass processing fees to payers
When using Stripe for payments, you can choose to pass processing fees to your payers so your team receives the full due amount:
- Where to find it: Team Settings → Payment Info (requires Pro plan + Stripe connected)
- Fee calculation: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
- Example: $200 due → $206.29 total charged to payer → team receives the full $200 (approximately $200.01)
When to use this:
This toggle is helpful when you want to collect a specific amount (e.g., $200 membership dues) and receive the full amount after fees (fees are calculated and added to the payer total). When disabled, your team absorbs the processing fees — you’d receive $193.71 on a $200 payment. Payers see the fee breakdown transparently in the checkout portal.
