What are co-managers?
Co-managers are other GetDues users you invite to help manage your team. They can log in to GetDues and access the same team you do.
Common scenarios for co-managers:
- Assistant coaches: Give your assistant coach access to send reminders and track payments
- Team treasurers: Let the treasurer manage dues and run reports
- Parent volunteers: Share responsibility with a parent who helps organize the team
- Backup access: Ensure someone else can manage the team if you’re unavailable
How to invite a co-manager
Go to team settings
From your team dashboard, click Settings (gear icon).
Find the Co-Managers section
Scroll to Co-Managers and click Invite Co-Manager.
Enter their email address
Type the email address of the person you want to invite. They don’t need a GetDues account yet — they can create one when they accept.
Send the invitation
Click Send Invitation. They’ll receive an email with a link to accept and join your team.
Accepting a co-manager invitation
If someone invited you to be a co-manager:
Check your email for the invitation from GetDues.
Click Accept Invitation in the email.
Log in or create a GetDues account using the same email address.
You’ll be added to the team automatically. Use the team switcher to view and manage it.
Note:
If you don’t see the invitation email, check your spam folder. Invitations expire after 7 days.
What co-managers can do
Co-managers have full access to the team, just like the original manager. They can:
- View the team dashboard and all member details
- Add, edit, or remove members
- Create, edit, or delete dues items
- Send reminders (manual and automatic)
- Mark payments as paid or unpaid
- Apply adjustments (credits, discounts)
- Export reports and view analytics
- Update team settings (including payment methods)
Important:
Co-managers can also remove other co-managers and even delete the team. Only invite people you trust.
Removing a co-manager
If you need to remove someone’s access to your team:
- Go to Team Settings → Co-Managers
- Find the co-manager in the list
- Click Remove next to their name
- They’ll lose access immediately (no notification is sent)
The team will disappear from their team list the next time they log in.
Leaving a team as a co-manager
If you no longer want to manage a team you were invited to:
- Go to that team’s dashboard
- Open Settings and scroll to Leave Team
- Confirm you want to leave — you’ll lose access to the team
The original manager can re-invite you later if needed.
